Leighton Buzzard Road Cycling Club
![]() LBRCC established in 2011 is a fast growing club and are based in historic market town of Leighton Buzzard with many members from surrounding villages.
The club is primarily focused on road cycling with a social feel, many of our members ride for the pure leisure of cycling in and around the rural setting of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. All riders welcome and you might even see a few roadies getting dirty on a midweek MTB ride. Each Sunday we offer 3 Group Rides lead by our members over different distances and at different speeds to ensure everyone has the chance to ride at their level and enjoy being out on your bike. The focus is on keeping the group together. |
We welcome all riders, just choose your challenge from one of these three Groups:
Group 1Group 1 ride leads are up for a quicker paced ride averaging 16+mph over a 50 to 60 mile course. It’s a great route if you want to try your legs on a longer steady paced ride with great company. G1 will loop past (but not stop) the same coffee shop giving everyone the chance to hop on or off the ride of their choice.
|
Group 2Group 2 ride leads take us off at an average 14-16 mph to meet G3 riders after a taking in a few extra miles to the coffee shop. A chance to choose your route home with either ride lead or try your tagging on the back of G1.
|
Group 3Group 3 ride leads take us off to a coffee shop 1/2 way round the route at an average 12-14 mph. It’s a chance to catch your breath and meet with the G2 group.
