We pride ourselves in being customer focused, we do need to keep some information about you to help us do that, if you’re not sure or unhappy about our use of data about you then ask and we’ll try to help.
Below is the legal bit to keep the data commissioner happy, if you’re not happy tell us!
2Pedalz Ltd are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulations 2018). We collect information about you to help us with our customer service and also to put an order through and deliver it. We don’t really believe in spam mail (we all get enough of it already) so almost all the emails you get from us will be to do with advice, orders or follow up for example if there is a product recall. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.
The type of information we will keep about you includes:
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- What you have shown an interest in
- Some of the items you have bought
- In the future we may store full card details and your IP address but currently we don’t
This information is stored on our systems and our website simply verifies you as a customer of 2Pedalz. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any mistakes then we will delete or correct them promptly. The personal information that we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. We don’t transfer or sell your information. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. If you have any questions/comments about privacy, you should email us at customer.service@2Pedalz.co.uk, where we will be only too happy to help.
Use of personal information
We use the information you provide for the following purposes:
- To provide you with the best service we can.
- To send information regarding the status of your enquiry or your order.
- In aggregate to improve 2Pedalz.co.uk website for you
- In aggregate to understand how best to help customers in the future.
- To work with social media providers – such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – where we interact with you on social media.
- To deliver advertising across various social media and other online platforms (e.g. Google, Facebook).
- In the future we may work with professional service providers, such as marketing agencies & advertising partners to create and share interesting (to you) content via social media advertising.
When you place an order we need to know your name, email address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and the card’s expiry date (currently we do NOT keep your credit card info in full against your name) we will keep enough info to check you have the card you paid on in your possession when we deliver, if we feel we need to. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and /or to notify you of the status of your request. We also ask for your telephone number which enables us to contact you should we need to.
Your Email Address
Your e-mail address will be used to communicate with you about your order and products purchased.
At the moment we don’t use email for marketing (why would we) however we may in the future setup a newsletter and if we do we’ll contact you about that at the time – to be honest it it’s likely to end up in spam.
We are on it all the time, and are a bit paranoid so much so that we don’t keep full credit cards details after we’ve used them. We use all the relevant password and physical / cloud security elements and policies you would expect. For rather obvious reasons we don’t publish our security policy
